UTAD and Prazeres de Outono create gourmet olive oil with chestnuts from Trás-os-Montes

UTAD and the company Prazeres de Outono, in collaboration with the European network EIT Food, launched the HEARTchest project, an innovative olive oil enriched with Judia chestnut from Trás-os-Montes. This combination of local Cordovil olive oil and chestnut represents a commitment to tradition and innovation, aiming to create a functional food that promotes cardiovascular health and responds to the growing consumer interest in authentic gourmet products. averdade+2


In addition to the nutritional value and antioxidant potential of this new olive oil, the project focuses on promoting traditional ingredients and boosting the local economy, strengthening value chains linked to gastronomic tourism in Trás-os-Montes.
