Meating Festival 2025: Miranda do Douro celebrates gastronomy and culture

The Meating Festival returns to Miranda do Douro on September 13th and 14th, 2025, bringing a unique celebration of the gastronomy and culture of Trás-os-Montes.

Held in the ruins of the former Bishop's Palace, the event highlights the region's indigenous breeds, such as Mirandês Lamb (PDO), Transmontano Cabrito (PDO), Mirandesa Meat (PDO), and Bísaro Pork, through exclusive dishes prepared live by four renowned chefs.
