Abrupt temperature variations cause some damage to olive trees, particularly during the flowering season.
It is worth noting how heterogeneous the region is, particularly in its orography and in the different varieties of olive trees, as the plants are at different stages during this phase, just as they are during harvest time.
As stated in the aforementioned article: "In the intermediate areas of the region, where the olive trees were in full bloom, especially in Terra Quente Transmontana, the heat destroyed some of the flowers.
