Duarte Alegre and his two daughters took Furada Olive Oil to V+ TVI for the Bom Dia Alegria program.
They shared their story and a few other personal stories from seven generations of Fazenda Furada and its olive oil.
The interview introduces Furada Olive Oil, produced from centuries-old olive trees at Quinta da Furada, using granite millstones on the same day the olives are harvested by hand. After six months of resting and natural decantation, the oil is bottled, earning recognition for its quality and presence in excellent restaurants such as Antiqvvm in Porto and Vidago Palace, under the direction of Vitor Matos. The artisanal transformation, with slow crushing and cold processes, is highly valued. The product is praised as a benchmark choice for consumers and chefs seeking quality and tradition.
The interview highlights the history and family ties of Quinta da Furada across several generations, reinforcing the Portuguese identity of olive oil.
There's also a focus on the importance of maintaining traditional practices to ensure authenticity and excellence in the final product.
