“The Quinta de Rio Pequeno project is the result of winemaker Sérgio Alves’ passion for the land where he was born, where he aims to express the best of this terroir…”

Sérgio Alves is the heir of small winegrowers, born and raised in the wine-growing village of Cabêda, in the Douro.

In constant contact with the vineyards, on his grandparents’ properties, where he spent much of his childhood, he shared his passion for growing vines from an early age.

He graduated in viticulture and oenology from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and completed internships at emblematic wine houses, where he had the pleasure of working with excellent winemakers.

He currently works on wine projects in the Douro region and in Trás-os-Montes.

Quinta de Rio Pequeno is his own project and a lifelong one…
