A 4.4 km linear trail of easy difficulty, starting at the Casa do Careto in Podence and finishing at Praia da Ribeira, one of the river beaches of the Azibo Reservoir, voted one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal. The village of Podence is the birthplace of the iconic Caretos, emblematic figures of the Entrudo Chocalheiro classified in 2017 as Portugal's Intangible Cultural Heritage. The trail passes the Church of Nossa Senhora da Purificação and crosses the Albufeira do Azibo Protected Landscape and the Morais Site of Community Importance (Natura 2000 Network), one of the largest continuous serpentinite formations in Portugal and Iberian wolf habitat.
