Macedo de Cavaleiros
A linear trail starting at the Fraga da Pegada Metavolcanics geosite, where volcanic rocks bear engravings — footprints, crosses, horseshoes and cup marks — forming an archaeological site of municipal interest. The trail follows the shores of the Azibo Reservoir, passing the Fraga da Pegada beach (Blue Flag, accessible to people with reduced mobility), and finishes at the Salselas village centre. Located within the Albufeira do Azibo Protected Landscape and the Geopark Terras de Cavaleiros, a UNESCO Global Geopark. Source: Geopark Terras de Cavaleiros.
