A 7.5 km circular trail of moderate difficulty, starting and finishing at Largo da Igreja in Picote. The trail focuses on the ethnographic heritage and traditional architecture of Picote, highlighting the ancient communal water fountains of Roman or medieval origin — the 'village fountains' that served the communities of the Mirandese plateau. The route crosses the typical rural landscape of the Trás-os-Montes northeast and the village of Picote, which keeps alive the Mirandese language, Portugal's only co-official language alongside Portuguese.
