Trilho dos Passadiços do Tinhela
PR3 MUR
Murça
A 6.5 km circular trail of easy difficulty, starting and finishing at the PNRVT Gateway in Murça. The trail visits the main landmarks of the town of Murça — the Porca de Murça (a granite sculpture symbolising the town, a prehistoric monument), the Cooperative Winery, the former Benedictine Convent, the Church and the Manueline Pillory —, then descends to the banks of the River Tinhela. There you can walk along a mix of trails and wooden walkways (the first in the municipality), seamlessly integrated into the landscape and ensuring respect for the riparian gallery of one of the best-preserved rivers in Europe. At the Roman Bridge over the Tinhela, a variant follows the Calçada de Murça, a section of an ancient Roman road linking Astorga to the mouth of the Douro. At the Moinho do Fidalgo, the trail returns to town, passing the Chapel of Misericórdia. FCMP certified. Source: CM Murça / parque.valetua.pt.
