A 9 km linear trail of moderate difficulty, starting at the communal washing tanks of Parada. The trail follows rural paths still used by animal-drawn carts and flocks, leading to the Sanctuary of Santo Antão da Barca, whose 18th-century chapel contains important murals inside. From the track to the sanctuary, breathtaking views unfold: the blue of the Baixo Sabor reservoir, the green of the junipers and, with some luck, birds of prey. The relocation of the sanctuary to its current site was a heritage preservation process unique in Portugal. The new sanctuary includes a guesthouse, bar-restaurant and a museum space with the photographic and multimedia exhibition 'Rostos de Devoção' and a collection of ex-votos.
