A 26 km circular trail of moderate difficulty, starting and finishing in Lamas de Orelhão. Organised into two loops that can be walked separately: the South Loop (14 km, easy to moderate) — centred on the almond blossom landscape, ideal from January to March; the North Loop (16 km, moderate to difficult) — includes the climb to Serra de Passos and a visit to the Buraco da Pala rock shelter (870 m altitude), a unique prehistoric archaeological site in the Mirandela municipality. The Buraco da Pala is a rock shelter with traces of human occupation since the Neolithic. Nearby lies the largest concentration of schematic rock paintings from recent Prehistory in Portugal, on Serra de Santa Comba. Source: trilhosecaminhadas.pt / PNRVT.
