A 9 km circular trail of moderately difficult grade, estimated at 4 hours, starting and finishing in the village square of Pinhal do Douro. A side trail at the start leads to the Fraga da Ola viewpoint, passing a plunge pool and the Fraga das Bruxas. Below the imposing Fraga da Ola viewpoint, a natural landscape of escarpments with rich Douro valley vegetation survives. The trail continues north towards Pinhal do Douro, sharing a section with the PR7 'Trilho do Miradouro da Cova Escura'. Along the way, scattered examples of traditional rural structures can be observed: bee-wall enclosures, fig-drying ovens and a cluster of watermills. Difficulty graded using the MIDE method.
