A 14.1 km circular trail of moderately difficult grade, starting in the rustic village of Poiares, where most of the schist buildings retain their original character. The route is relatively gentle, crossing a plateau landscape dominated by almond trees and olive groves, leading to the Penedo Durão viewpoint — one of the most iconic spots for contemplating the Upper Douro within the Douro Internacional Natural Park.
