São João da Pesqueira
A 19.4 km circular trail of moderate difficulty, starting and finishing at Largo da Devesa in São João da Pesqueira. The trail heads north along a walled path with views of Quinta do Lodeiro. Through paths lined with olive trees and vineyards, it reaches the road connecting São João da Pesqueira to Nagoselo do Douro. The route passes the imposing 16th-century Manueline pillory and the parish church, climbing via Rua dos Olivais to the Chapel of Nossa Senhora das Neves, with breathtaking views over the vine and olive plantations stretching down to the River Douro. Continuing towards Nagoselo do Douro, the trail descends into the valley and returns to São João da Pesqueira along paths parallel to the secondary school.
