Miranda do Douro section of the GR36, a 40.3 km linear route promoted by FRAUGA. The trail starts at the Penha das Torres viewpoint in Paradela and ends in Sendim. It crosses Paradela, Aldeia Nova, the city of Miranda do Douro, and the villages of Picote, where the Mirandese language is co-official in Portugal. The São João das Arribas viewpoint offers stunning views over the International Douro. The full GR36 extends 176.40 km, crossing Miranda do Douro, Mogadouro, Freixo de Espada à Cinta and Torre de Moncorvo. Promoted by FRAUGA, registered in the RNPP.
