Vila Nova de Foz Côa
A 17.5 km linear trail of easy difficulty, starting at the Museu da Casa Grande in Freixo de Numão — an 18th-century baroque palace with an exceptional 1783 rococo chapel — and finishing at the Freixo de Numão river quay. Leaving the village, a dirt path flanked by farmland and rocky landscapes leads to the Prazo Archaeological Station, the first of two Roman stations found along the route. Rumansil is the second, accessible through beautiful vine and olive grove landscapes.
