Description and Content

The Vimioso Park Ecovia is referenced in the Guide to Cycle Paths, Ecotrails and Ecovias of Northern Portugal, published by Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal. Details of its length and route are being confirmed with the Vimioso City Hall.

Vimioso is located on the Mirandês Plateau, part of the Meseta Ibérica Transboundary Biosphere Reserve (the largest in Europe). The municipality has river beaches (Serapicos, Ponte Maçãs) and a landscape dominated by cereals, olive groves and extensive pastures.

The village of Angueira, in the municipality of Vimioso, is known for its rural traditions and the production of high-quality smoked meats and olive oil.

Spring and autumn.
