Description and Content

Mirandela's network of urban cycle paths and lanes has existed since 2013, making the city one of the first in Trás-os-Montes to invest in sustainable mobility. The approximately 10 km of urban cycle paths connect the Municipal Market to the North Junction of the A4 motorway, passing along the banks of the Tua River, the old Roman bridge, and the leisure area of Dr. José Gama Park.

The route is part of the Eastern Portuguese Way of St. James, which crosses Mirandela. Combined with the Tua Ecotrail (13.7 km) and the Quadrassal Cyclin'Portugal Center (200 km of mountain biking), the municipal cycle network will total more than 24 km by March 2026.

Mirandela has bicycle rental services next to the Municipal Market, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the area by bicycle.
