Description and Content
The Cyclin'Portugal Center — Vinhais is one of 11 centers in the Porto and North region, referenced in the TPNP 2025-2030 Marketing Plan. The mountain biking routes are developed in a mountain environment, within the Montesinho Natural Park.
The natural starting point is the Vinhais Biological Park, which functions as a hub for nature activities: observation of native fauna (deer, wild boar, birds of prey), native breeds (Montesinho black goat, Bísaro pig, Mirandese donkey), Mycological Center, Iberian Wolf Interpretation Center, and Equestrian Center.
Vinhais is one of the municipalities with the highest density of chestnut trees in Europe and a centuries-old tradition of producing olive oil, smoked meats, and chestnuts.
Recommended season:
Spring to autumn. Winter with snow at higher altitudes.

Vinhais combines mountain olive groves with chestnut groves. Olive oil production with unique high-altitude characteristics. DOP smoked meats as a gastronomic complement.
