Products such as chestnuts and the Bísaro pig stand out; this native breed is responsible for one of the largest gastronomic fairs in the country, the Vinhais Smoked Meat Fair, which takes place every year in February.

It is visited by thousands of people. For this reason, Vinhais is nicknamed the "Capital of Smoked Meats".
