Festival of Knowledge and Flavors of the Douro, S. João da Pesqueira

The Douro Flavors and Knowledge Festival 2026 returns to São João da Pesqueira on February 28th, March 1st, 7th and 8th, transforming Praça do Marquês into a stage for celebrating the Douro identity, traditional gastronomy and popular culture.

Over two weekends, the event brings together more than 60 exhibitors, promoting Douro's endogenous products, such as homemade breads, traditional sausages, olive oil, wine, honey, almonds, dried figs and local crafts, in an environment that values ​​ancestral knowledge and crafts of yesteryear, with live demonstrations.

The program includes traditional music, folklore, singing groups and cultural entertainment, as well as initiatives for the whole family, such as donkey rides, birds of prey demonstrations and nature-related activities. The sporting aspect returns with the 5th Almond Blossom Trail, which takes place on March 1st, against the backdrop of the Douro's flowery landscapes.
