Almond Blossom Festival 2026, Vila Nova de Foz Côa

The Almond Blossom Festival 2026 returns to Vila Nova de Foz Côa between February 15th and March 8th, celebrating one of the oldest and most emblematic traditions of the Upper Douro and one of the main nature tourism events in Portugal.

In its 44th edition, the municipality is once again transformed into a unique setting, marked by the landscapes of almond blossoms, which paint the fields white and pink, with the Douro River as a backdrop. This natural spectacle serves as the basis for a broad cultural and gastronomic program, developed in partnership with associations, communities and local agents, involving the entire community.

Over several weeks, the Almond Blossom Festival offers shows, theater, street entertainment, walks, sports activities, exhibitions and the traditional ethnographic and allegorical parade, one of the most representative initiatives of the event.
