The 46th Vinhais Smoked Meat Fair will take place from February 5th to 8th, 2026, establishing itself as one of the largest and most emblematic gastronomic events in Northern Portugal and a national benchmark in the promotion of traditional smoked meats from Trás-os-Montes.
Recognized for the excellence of its Vinhais smoked meats, this fair celebrates a tradition deeply rooted in local identity, based on Bísaro pork, raised using traditional methods, in the region's cold and dry climate, ideal for the natural curing of meats, and on ancestral garlic-vinaigrette seasonings, which give the sausages a unique flavor and authenticity.
The 2026 edition will feature around 70 local producers, including new young producers, reinforcing the generational renewal and sustainability of this traditional activity.
