Chestnut and Local Products Fair – Vimioso

The Chestnut and Local Products Fair in Vimioso is a traditional event celebrating the local culture and gastronomy of the region, especially chestnuts, one of the main local products.

This fair, usually held in the autumn, typically brings together local producers, artisans, and visitors from various parts of the country.

At the fair, visitors can find a wide variety of regional products, such as roasted chestnuts, chestnut-based sweets, cheese, cured meats, wines, and other typical products from the Trás-os-Montes region. In addition, there are also cultural, musical, and entertainment activities for the whole family.

According to the organizers, this year the event begins with a wild boar hunt, includes a folklore gathering, a walking tour, bullfights, and concludes with a community chestnut roast.
