About the event
World Olive Day, established by UNESCO in 2019, annually celebrates the contribution of the olive tree to economic, social, and environmental development. The choice of this date for the project presentation highlights Azeite do Norte's commitment to valuing and preserving the olive-growing heritage of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro.
In 2025, and organized by OliveTourism (formerly Olive4All), we have a selection of events related to this day throughout the country.
We highlight the events that take place in Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, and which extend across the different municipalities of this territory.
