What will the experience be like?
Experience full of culture and tradition in the village of the mythical Caretos de Podence.
The meeting point is in the colorful village of Podence, where the famous Caretos de Podence, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage of Humanity, originate. This is followed by a visit to points of interest in this mythical village in Trás-os-Montes, accompanied by a guide who will take you on a legendary journey through this unique tradition on a global scale.
Finally, we will visit a traditional workshop where you will learn how to make the costumes and masks of the caretas. This visit includes the “Paint your mask” experience, which consists of finishing and offering an original mask, and also the “Being Careto” experience, which consists of wearing a complete careto costume.
Afterwards, board the Azibo Reservoir Pier and relax on a fantastic journey, in perfect communion with nature, visiting the wildest and most natural side of this reservoir on board our ecological vessel, powered by solar energy, 0% pollutant and 100% silent. You can also take a dip in these clear, warm waters and then enjoy an aperitif and a drink served on board.
