The Pegarinhos Almond Fair returns on March 14th and 15th, 2026, at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows, celebrating one of the most emblematic products of the Alijó and Douro region. The event highlights regional almonds, bringing together local producers, traditional gastronomy, cultural entertainment, and initiatives that showcase the parish's traditions.
The program includes exhibitors, almond-themed competitions, street entertainment, and activities for families, providing a convivial atmosphere and promoting local products. The initiative begins on Saturday with a walk along the Pegarinhos–Castorigo–Vale de Mir route, inviting participants to discover the landscape and natural heritage of the region, culminating in a celebratory lunch.
