Associação de Produtores de Azeite D'Ouro

As stated in the agenda, this weekend the Altos Wine and Flavors Fair (June 13-15) will take place in Alijó.

This fair will feature the presentation of the new D'Ouro Olive Oil Producers Association.

Also taking place at this edition is the Fair's 1st Olive Oil Competition, aimed at promoting the excellent olive oil produced in the Douro region.

In Alijó, there are still mostly century-old olive trees, the heritage of a thousand olive growers and two dozen olive oil producers/sellers.

This new association will also have the mission of promoting the D'Olival Interpretative Center for D'Ouro Olive Oil, in a protocol with the municipality, a space that Azeite a Norte has already had the opportunity to visit and report on.
