The Chestnut Festival or Rural Castanea is the chestnut festival that is traditionally held on the last weekend of October in Vinhais.
Being one of the national municipalities that produces the most chestnuts, Vinhais has been promoting the fair for 15 years, a municipality that produces 15,000 of the 40,000 tons of national chestnuts.
